On June 8th, 2020, the session of First Presbyterian Church, Memphis passed a motion to place a Black Lives Matter banner on our bell tower. As our brothers and sisters of color cry out for racial justice, we committed to holding intentional conversations in our church about what this movement means in the life of our church, our community, and our own lives. We resolved to respond to calls for justice and work on this together.
